The Eye Behind The Lens
About Me:
“They say that if you do something you enjoy, then you will never work another day in your life”
So, having spent a long time in a corporate environment I decided it was time to do something else that I was good at as well as enjoyed.
Photography provided that opportunity as over the years capturing freestyle candid shots of people and moments had always interested me. It therefore seemed an obvious step to develop my interest and skills into other areas of photography.
My Approach and What to Expect:
Some good portrait shots are those where the person does not know it’s been taken which has the viewer intrigued as to what was going on, and what the subject was thinking of at that particular time.
The same however can be achieved with posed shots. It’s just a matter of practise and relaxing into the role you want to portray.
For those who have little experience of a photo shoot, posing in front of a camera can be daunting but working together with myself, my assistant (and fiancé) Lesley and an artistic director, should you feel you need him, we can make it fun and get those great shots you’ve been looking for.
My approach is professional but totally informal with the
emphasis being to produce quality images whether it be personal, commercial, product, or event.
To achieve this you may want to send an outline of what or who you are trying to convey ahead of time. Even pictures that you’ve seen and liked are always great to help us understand the sort of image you’d like to achieve.
Feel free to bring along a change of outfit as well as some of
your favourite music so you have a relaxed and personal shoot.
It’s not just about taking a picture.
It’s about having fun and creating a memory.
